The PR Pitch Perfector is an interactive webinar series. It gives you a rare opportunity to practise and perfect your PR pitch with the help of experienced journalists.
Each webinar features a different guest journalist, carefully chosen by us for their experience, expertise and genuine passion for helping small business owners tell their stories.
During each webinar, five “PR Pitchers” will be allocated a timeslot to practise and refine their PR pitch and receive 1:1 feedback from the journalist.
At the end of all the PR pitches, the journalist will give overall feedback to the group - including evaluating the PR pitches and telling you which one was the best! But it’s not a competition - it’s a supportive, learning-focused environment where all the PR pitchers will have an equal opportunity to practise and learn from each other.
Plus, the journalist will share their top tips for making great PR pitches - including things to avoid - and you’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions at the end.
So by the end of the webinar, you’ll be ready to nail your PR pitch in the real world - and well on the way to seeing your name in the headlines! 🌟
Not quite ready to be a PR Pitcher, but still keen to learn from others? Join the webinars as an Observer! You’ll get to watch and learn, plus you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions via Chat and we’ll send you a recording of the webinar.

Each interactive Zoom webinar runs for one hour.
Each webinar kicks off with a Q&A with the journalist, where they’ll introduce themselves and share their top tips for a great PR pitch, including things to avoid.
Next, the five PR Pitchers will take it in turns to practise and refine their PR pitches and receive 1:1 feedback from the journalist. Each PR Pitcher is allocated a guaranteed 5-minute exclusive timeslot.
Once all the PR Pitchers have had their turn, the journalist will give overall feedback to the group, including their opinion on which PR pitch was the strongest.
Then, the PR Pitchers will have the chance to ask the journalist questions. If time permits, we’ll also take questions from Observers via Chat.
No, you only need to sign up for the webinars you're interested in.
Each PR Pitcher will be allocated an exclusive 5-minute timeslot (and we’ll be watching the clock closely!)
We recommend you aim for a maximum of 2 minutes for your verbal PR pitch, and leave the rest of your 5-minute slot for feedback and refinement.
They’ll evaluate your strong and weak points, and make suggestions for improvement. They’ll also give feedback to the group as a whole, and tell you which PR Pitch was the strongest.
To ensure that each PR Pitcher gets a guaranteed exclusive 5-minute timeslot, there’s a strict limit of five PR Pitchers per 1-hour session. If your preferred session is already booked out for PR Pitchers, you can book in as an Observer instead - there’s no limit on the number of Observers.
Alternatively, you can contact us and ask to be placed on the waiting list in case of cancellations.
If you’re booked in as a PR Pitcher and need to cancel, please give us at least 5 business days’ notice so we can offer your slot to someone else. Unfortunately we’re unable to offer a refund if you cancel less than 5 business days before the event starts.
We don’t offer cancellations or refunds for Observers, but if you’re unable to attend the event we’ll still send you the recording after the event.
Yes! We’ll be running PR Pitch Perfector events regularly in 2024, featuring a variety of journalists across various media formats and areas of interest.
